Road Trip

Over the past years I’ve become so big on traveling & every year I travel to at LEAST one place off of my check list. However, this year, I plan to travel to as many places as possible. Some in the United States, some overseas, some for a day and some for a week ! With my birthday still in the air (I celebrate until March is over) my close friend & I decided to kick off our first trip of the year, in Philadelphia!

We took an early 2 and a half hour bus ride from New York to Philly, arriving just in time for breakfast. We checked out Green Eggs Cafe, lets take a moment of silence in the name of this holy breakfast. I’ve NEVER had a breakfast more delicious than this one. We shared their popular red velvet pankcakes, while I enjoyed their “kitchen sink” ( sounds frightening but its far from that) while Rocio enjoyed their eggs Benedict. We toasted to our amazing breakfast with a hot banana latte & a yummy caramel latte.

Off into the city we went, snapping photos of random street art and the most mind blowing architecture. We made our way to the Magic Gardens, the most beautiful garden I’ve ever been to without any plants in site (okay maybe a few random ones hanging around). Beautiful mosaic glass captured everyone’s attention in this magical garden. Random fixtures, glass bottles, tiles & stones lined the walls & floor.

The random swinging chairs at continental midtown, were all I needed to be convinced it’s never too early for a refreshing drink ( because it’s happy hour some where in the world right?) After visiting the Liberty Bell, we made our way to the Reading Terminal Market. This market had everything you can think of from cheesecakes, chocolates, & ice cream to olive /cheese bars, philly cheese steaks, to beef jerky & more. And of course when in Philly you MUST enjoy a cheese steak, which we most definately did. We ended our night by counting calories straight up the art museum stairs ( the legendary stairs Rocky Balboa ran up as apart of his training regimen).
